Fuck yeah This feels like an incredibly faithful adaptation from the Broadway musical because at times, I feel like I am watching Chicago on Broadway and that’s what most musical adaptions should feel like. The musical sequences are seamless and I love how they all take place on a stage and the use of lighting, blocking and costumes in them are absolutely amazing. Zellweger, Zeta-Jones & Gere are all amazing in this and all of them should’ve won an Oscar for this, still happy that Zeta-Jones did. The technical aspects of this film as well are so beautiful, the editing is definitely the highlight of the film, it’s so snappy and quick and transitions between musical sequences & real life so amazingly.
