Oldboy

Absurd, violent, absolutely bonkers. Has a lot to chew on and consider but didn’t hit me as hard as Park’s more romantic films. Still everything is so textured and rich, excited to rewatch all of his movies once I see the rest. A film that works as an amalgamation, trying to explain one element would be ridiculous. It’s funny, incredibly sad, philosophical, and brutal, but I guess that’s revenge.
