“We’re only stardust”. This Sci-Fi really had it all, it felt as though the walls were closing in on me, a claustrophobic plummet towards certain death, whilst posing questions of the fleetingness of life and the minuteness of one’s issues, followed by a spooky as fuck slasher third act with one of the creepiest motherfuckers of all time. Boyle’s wacky camera shit works better than ever here. Haven’t even talked about how gorgeously the enormity of the task was captured visually, or how every performance was top-notch. It maintained this ominous energy throughout which felt almost over-bearing in the best way.
