A satire with an insanely high joke hit-miss ratio, it is wild to believe that this was Stillman’s debut. Stellar writing here and some great performances here. Not too much visually going on here, but still a wildly enjoyable time that I desperately want to come back and visit. You’d be hard pressed to find a comedy of manners this well-read being made today.
