Superman

This has been one of my most anticipated movies of the year and James Gunn did not disappoint. This is what superman should be and this is the perfect superman movie. David Corenswet does an incredible job at embodying everything about superman and delivers an incredible performance. For me one of the best parts of this movie is hands down Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor he delivers an absolutely amazing performance I loved every moment he was on screen and he might be one of the best villains I’ve seen in a superhero movie he was the perfect Lex luthor just genuinely pure evil and an incredible villain. Going into this movie I was slightly nervous about the amount of characters and what that could do to the story but I was wrong to doubt because every single cast member delivers an incredible story and James Gunn manages to build the universe introducing multiple characters we will see again and gives them all moments to shine. Hawkgirl, Mr terrific metemorpho and Guy Gardner all being introduced and yet making the story so much better and although this is a superman movie i think it was great to see more of the DC universe. This is an incredible start to the new age of DC and I’ve got such high hopes for the future we didn’t need another origin story and I think starting the universe in an already established world of heroes is perfect. This movie is so well written and just shot beautifully. James Gunn proving yet again he knows how to make a perfect comic book movie.
