A Mighty Wind

There’s a scene towards the end where all of the performers rush to the stage to watch in silent awe as Mitch & Mickey perform A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow. It’s such a beautiful scene in an otherwise silly movie, but I suppose that’s what I love about Christopher Guest. All of his ensemble comedies, from Spinal Tap to this one, are injected with a significant amount of heart, which is why I think they resonate with so many.
