Ok yeah the Academy got this one right. Just an incredible film all around. Funny, emotional, powerful, it’s got it all. The performances, writing, and directing are just so killer, this deserved every award it got. I was pretty shocked to see how much hate this movie is getting online and especially how so much of the discourse is just straight up misogyny. Despite all the FUCKING HATERS, Anora is a masterpiece, Mikey Madison you are a legend, Sean Baker you are the greatest director of our time. Idk man I loved this. Long live independent filmmaking.
