The Batman
REAL. MOVIE. Absolute banger from start to finish, the more you think about it, the better it gets.
Was gonna watch something new tonight and kinda stick with that vibe I've had the past few days, but after my rewatch of BvS the other day, I was still craving something DC related. And as much as I love BvS, this film is quite easily the best SOLO Batman film ever made. Thematically brilliant and so scarily relevant to our real world today.
This film is a masterpiece. A modern classic filled with perfect atmosphere, an incredible sense of anxiety-inducing detective work and tension buildup, and a perfect example of how to craft a Batman film, and almost feels like a horror film at times. The only crime? That this didn't originally release around Halloween like it was initially supposed to. Would've been PERFECT.
Pure perfection from start to finish, obviously one of my favorites of 2022, and without a doubt one of the best CBMs in recent years. I'd even argue...ever made. Gonna rewatch this a thousand more times this year. Can't wait for the sequel to this, LET MATT REEVES COOK!
