One of the greatest stories ever constructed my thoughts are all over the floor with this one but I seriously doubt my little review will explain how good this is.Like seriously what the hell do I even say this is beyond a lot of media I’ve watched over the years even considering some of my all time favorites.
It’s a perfect blend of multiple styles I saw inspirations from hellraiser all the way to the sword of doom and all of these inspirations all combined into a great dish that could have fumbled but it barley did.
I would say there are a lot of cracks in this adaption certain stories and motivations are not fully realized which it’s probably because they had to cram a chunk of the manga into 25 episodes but the moments that were created are just ssoooo cool and hypnotic.
It also started off weird at the beginning with it ripping off yojimbo but once Griffith shows up everything changes. He straight up carries the show and his relationship with the main character “guts” is so interesting. He is ruthless and charming, he is a like a fallen angel with him stopping at nothing to achieve his dream whether it breaks him.mind or body every move is a carefully planned attack strategy from him and is simply amazing to watch.i am honestly considering buying the manga because of how good it was.
I highly recommend it just for those final 3 episodes they transcend the screen and are just hypnotizing to watch there are flaws but that ruthless bloody ending fixed everything it’s really a once in a life time story, the hype isn’t bullshit
