Dunkirk
VERY MINOR SPOILER
One of my all time favourites for sure. Christopher Nolan has always had a few problems with sound in his films but this was beyond perfect in that department. I really wish I could watch this in IMAX because I hear it is completely revolutionary compared to watching it regularly. If you are going into this film thinking you’re going to get a bunch of heartfelt character development, then you are going to be disappointed. Fortunately most people see that this film doesn’t need to have that or be that kind of film. This work of art revolves around different groups of characters that all link in the end which I find refreshing because we aren’t caught up in one story, this film gives us the view from the battle in almost a Birds Eye view, just from ground level, if that makes sense (apart from the plane scenes which are perfection may I say). All round I’d give this film 6 stars if I could. This is definitely my favourite Nolan film and it’s gonna’ be pretty damn hard to beat.
