Lady Bird

"I want you to be the very best version of yourself you can be." "What if this is the best version?" Best coming of age film of all time in my opinion, this movie is just so warm and comforting to me. Everything feels so real with this film that every emotional moment hits how Greta Gerwig intends it to. Speaking of how well Gerwig does this, you can see all the fun and care she put into it through the writing and even the music she chooses. I could absolutely tell that this was a passion project for her. Lady Bird is a perfect protagonist for a coming-of-age film. There are so many imperfections with her character yet so many good things about her, you just can’t help but love her as a character. Seeing her character develop and start to go in a positive direction, and then falling right back into anger and other bad habits, is just so realistic and perfect to tell a story.
