this movie is actual fucking cinema. i loved it for the similar reasons of why i loved eeaao and the lego movie (some of my fav movies of like all time). greta gerwig is a genius because this had the potential to be just a funny movie. would it have been good? yeah. but this movie is so much more than that. this movie had so many moments that made you reconsider how you live your life. my favorite scene in the movie was i'm just ken, but beside that it was when america ferrera was giving her speech on the contradictions of being a "perfect" woman. the theater was silent. no rustling of popcorn, no adjusting of seats, coughing, talking,etc. the entire audience was captivated. only part i didn't like was when they were tricking the kens, because i knew that i would totally fall for that shit. am i a ken? this movie also makes you rethink who you are as a person. you're not just a face in the crowd, you're not just your interests, your job or just allan. and its up to you to figure out who it is and not somebody else to give that to you. and that's so fuckin real of greta tbh.
