Every time people asked me what this movie was about before seeing it I would say “it’s an old timey vampire more with Michael B. Jordan” but DAMN. This film is so much more than that. It was nutty and even my wife liked it which is higher praise than one would think.  SPOILER ALERT I really loved that Smoke ended the movie by killing all of those Klan dudes, it was badass. And then getting reunited with Annie and his baby fr brought a tear to my eye.  Also, EVEN THOUGH they were vamps, I was very glad that Stack and Mary got to spend eternity together being undead and shit.  Loved Smoke, Stack, and Sammie’s dynamic. I really felt the familial bond.  Very sad that Delta Slim had to die though.
