It felt like a wild ride from start to finish and while it showed all sorts of nastiness of Hollywood and movies, it also was filmed so cinematically that it was a representation of all the good thing movies bring too. I understand why some people might not love this movie, but I really REALLY enjoyed it. I loved the chaos and the feeling of being pushed out of my comfort zone, as well as the variety of characters. The only thing I didn't like was the sudden change to the 1930s era from the 20s, which didn't quite make sense. Maybe a bit too quick and felt unexplained but I understand they tried to cram a lot into 3 hours. Sometimes it felt like it takes forever to get to a conclusion imo . But overall the story is so well written that it became a minute issue. If I could give one word for this movie, it would be "plethora." The plethora of wealth, sex, love, drugs, and most of all Hollywood are all on display in this beautifully extravagant film. From Brad Pitt's amazing performance as a charismatic yet eccentric lead character to a stunningly elegant and outlandish Margot Robbie, there is a lot to love in this movie. Also a big fan of a more down-to-earth character who is full of love, Diego Calva, with a great performance, will for sure see his name in other great films in the near future . From the breathtaking views of California hills, or filming at the famous Point Dume Beach in Malibu, CA, the scenery is fantastic. Regardless of your personal preference, this is an amazing movie that truly captures the roaring 20's in Hollywood. Truly a must see movie that should win many awards. I loved Tobey Maguire's role too, he played it to perfection. **Congrats on Mr Chazelle for going 4 for 4 .. no wendys meal 😭😭😭😩😩🙈🙈🙈😍😍🤩🤩 ** Verdict : 9.1/10 2022 Ranked - press here Best of 2020s Ranked - press here “Comedy+Drama” Genre Ranked - press here
