Before Sunset
beautiful, the *12 angry men of romance films. honestly i wish i was half as good at writing as hawke, delpy, & linklater are, as then maybe i'd be able to come up with a review that i could consider worthy of this film bc it's truly a tour de force. the conversation between jesse & celine feels so authentic; the dialogue so natural that, paired with the long takes of the two touring paris, the film feels incredibly organic & real. i was initially worried that before sunset may not live up to the caliber of the first film, but i honestly think it blows before sunrise out of the water, even with how much i enjoyed the first. i can only hope now that before midnight* is anywhere near these two to finish out the trilogy on a strong note.
also dude ethan hawke sliding down that handrail was hilarious why did he do that
