Yojimbo

This is my first kuroswa and not only did I get an amazing movie but one of the coolest protagonist in a western like movie ever. I really don't know what Japan did right in the 60s and 70s but with the Ronin here, matsu in the female prisoner movies and lady snowblood they really had some cool and awesome characters. Yojimbo follows Ronin as he goes to a town with 2 waring gangs. He plays both sides attempting to get everything he can out of both sides but what happens when they figure it out. The story is just cool. It feels like a old fashioned western in the best way. I love the vibe the movie brings and the side characters with tge old man and the cofin maker. The characters is where tge movie shines. The Ronin is such a cool and intresting protagonist. He is played excellently snd well what can I say except his awesome and quite funny. The samurai who uses a gun is cool too snd a great foil to our lead. He has some fun villian moments and the fight between the 2 in the end was great. The fight scenes are fun too. I love the feel of them and how they are shot. In fact the entire movie is shot very well and beautifully. In the end It's such a fun snd beautiful that I loved every minute of. So watch it when you can.
