Adolescence
this was a very good series with incredibly strong performances, creative filmmaking, good writing and a strong and generally well-delivered message.
i think this series stands to teach people who aren't aware of this issue or who are a part of the issue about it and the consequences. my one criticism is i think there were points where the series should have been more conscientious of the audience it sought to teach. now i, who is not a victim of toxic masculinity or red pill social media content, know that katie "bullying" jamie is not an excuse. in fact, it doesn't matter. i know this because there are cases upon cases of violence against women for less, and for nothing. and even if there is something, such as bullying, it still isn't an excuse. it's not even worth considering. i know this. the people who this series stands to teach do not know this. i think the series should have been more careful when it came to calling katie a bully. it needed to be more explicit in explaining that it doesn't make a difference, and in explaining that things like this happen all the time to women without the presence of something like bullying. it leaves too much room for interpretation when it comes to "what katie did".
