The Brutalist
The Brutalist is a phenominal movie that doesn't shy away from creating a strong message about the tough reality of immigrants in America. The groundwork in the story is brilliantly laid and Corbet expertly develops each of the characters to show their progression over time. Adrien Brody unloads an insane performance and is well deserving of the award nominations he is recieving. The film was very long, nearly 3.5 hours and even had an intermission, and while the pacing felt exceedingly slow at times, it worked well the the theme of the movie. The score is surprisingly influential and heightens the movie as a whole. I very much enjoyed watching this in theatres.
