SuperbadJesse9.7· January 26, 2025FollowI did not expect this movie to be so good. I originally bought the dvd from a charity shop but unfortunately it was scratched and I couldn’t watch it so then I just left it but my friend Nellie told me that I should watch it so I did. The power is currently out but I have it downloaded on my laptop and I won’t talk for too long as it’s like 3 in the morning and my phone is low charge but this was such a stacked cast, like genuinely insane, I love Bill Hader, he was absolutely great. Michael Cera is amazing and one of my FAVOURITE actors. I love it, genuinely funny film and it didn’t feel too forced, the dialogue was amazing and felt genuine, love how awkward Michael cera is, it feels like he’s just a random guy who they found and he was too awkward to say no. They are all so perverted, apart from my king Michael Cera. I love how they split into like three different stories which kinda formed back into one and then ended back at three. Also love Emma stone and her haircut in this film. Fogell really lived the life, I loved the mclovin ID, he just got treated so well and then cock blocked. Poor Jonah Hill, bro got knocked down so many times and hit by a car twice. I love Michael Cera, his character Evan was so great, he was also lowkey perverted but like in a chiller and more respectful way, he genuinely like becca and it was so cute. This is also the second film which I’ve seen him run in, he really can run, he was in like a running club in Juno, which is such a film. I feel like im missing so much and i feel like this film can be a metaphor for something bigger like moving on and at one point in the film, Michael Cera and Jonah Hill split a pole. Loved Michael Cera singing. Loved the ending, it lowkey made me emotional, it was genuinely so sweet and I loved it so so much. This movie was great, it’s the type I can see myself watching over and over and I loved it. It feels like it was made just for the actors to mess about. The characters felt real and I loved them. Also loved the scene of drunk Michael Cera and Jonah hill just saying they loved each other, that was my brokeback mountain. 10/10 film, really really enjoyed it and the scene about Steven Glansburg is in a modern baseball song called ‘Yeah Yeah Utah’ that was cool. ‘I am mclovin.’CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the app
