Longlegs
Not quite the ride to the darkest pit in hell it was hyped up to be, but still a damn good time. Mostly a thriller that takes all the best parts of Silence of the Lambs mixed with the wild mythicism from something like Alan Wake 2. Loved every part of this movie, Maika Monroe is really cool and so is Nicholas Cage, delivering one of the wildest performances he’s ever done. Hiding his face in all the marketing is one of the smartest moves anyone’s ever made for film advertising. Once you see that face you won’t forget it. Everything else about this was perfect. I feel like it’s gonna be encouraged to shit on this film for not being as scary as it was hyped up to be, but that last act was legitimately terrifying and had my heart racing
