The BatmanJide HicksonGold7.1· August 2, 2023FollowSaw this at the SF Symphony. Loved the music. (The horns and the drums live 😮💨) and Loved the cinematography. (There were so many gorgeous shots) I thought they nailed a gritty Gotham while keeping it recognizable (NYC and Chicago, as usual) without it feeling campy like the Val Kilmer or George Clooney Batmans, and the first half had great pacing and pleasant mix of mystery and action (car chase was sick). The second half was too drawn out and Batman started to feel a little useless as everything fell apart. The mystery started to feel less believable as it unraveled in such a disorganized way. Things just kept getting tacked on and the climax kept staying out of reach. - Riddler singing was hilarious- don’t fully buy the romance between Batman and cat woman (thought there could have been more build up)- transformers 2 means I couldn’t take falcone seriously, even though he felt super menacing in the first scene he was inCommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the app
