2046
The best possible culmination of the other six Wong Kar Wai movies I've watched up to this point. Everything about this movie is refined to the point of perfection. Even the not great CG seems to fit in a weird stylistic sense.
But the best thing this movie has going for it is that all the characters finally feel like real people. There were a lot of caricatures in the past couple of movies. The camera sits so long on a majority of the shots in this movie that you get the full breadth of emotional turmoil in scene; highs AND lows.
So good and definitely my favorite of his movies. Not too sure when I will get around to 'The Grandmaster' and 'My Blueberry Nights', but I can't imagine them topping this.
