Guys, we are in the year of this film and it’s never been more, “in your face, so to speak about the rise in technology and takeover of AI. I will never not love this movie and the deeper message about human connection, both with technology and the authenticity of face-to-face connection with people.  This is definitely something that Theodore in this movie struggled with so much after his divorce with Catherine, struggling to identify the difference between technological connection versus real human connection. As the OS Samantha comes into his life, mainly to act as a “tool” with his writing, she becomes her own character and acts as a sort of rebound in Theodore’s love life. She eventually evolves and ends up having an impact on the way he views how to love deeply and how he manages to move on from Catherine, but still carry that love for her, even though he wasn’t in love anymore.  Note: As we are in the year of this film 2025, I am so glad that I do not see any men wearing high waisted khakis or any high waisted pants of any kind. Seeing men wear skinny jeans, still in the year 2025 is enough.
