A deranged, I don’t even know how, even more fucked up version of Good Time (that was going to be the hook to my review until the big boom moment, fuck).
Anyway, Yorgos has done it again, and I don’t know how he does it. Every one of his movies feels different from the others, yet they all have these distinctive things that make you realize it’s one of his films. I actually missed out on watching this in theaters because my parents hate seeing me happy and have broken countless promises to me.
Anyway, I think I should stop talking about that and talk about the movie before I go too deep. IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. I want this to win an Oscar for something, but I know for a fact it isn’t getting anywhere near one. There have been like two critically acclaimed films this year that are probably going to sweep everything (Sinners, One Battle After Another) unless more good movies start coming out. I still haven’t seen those two, but I probably will this week.
Also, I just realized I talk more than I review, but whatever.
