Arrival
Wish’ns I were better with the words. Galdurn what a perfect movie. Ticks all the boxes for me. Emotional score, time related, romantic, and it evokes…wanderlust?
Mild spoilers:
The way it lays the whole movie out in the first 3 minutes and you don’t even realize the first time. The way Amy Adams plays the scenes of her daughter perfectly ambiguously. Ugh.
There’s a decent amount of exposition but it never feels overbearing. In fact, I really like that they didn’t explain why the bird was in the shell with them. Likely a tradition that less and less people are aware of. Just letting the movie be a little bit smarter than a blockbuster.
