I was always so reluctant to watch this movie but now that I actually sat and watched it, I love it so much. the CGI, face and body tracking is SO impressive for 2009. also just as a story it's incredibly well written and honestly gut wrenching. Especially as a Palestinian just watching the same story unfold over and over again through different times and medias, it's extremely sad but also hopeful. this concept of people entering somewhere that isn't theirs and taking whatever they want and burning the rest to the ground because they believe the people that live there aren't people is the oldest story in the book and this movie expressed that perfectly. It also evoked literally every emotion I have and that's what I consider an extraordinary movie.
