wow. this is a phenomenal series. in fact i loved it so much that i bought the book and im very excited to read it. alaska’s character is written so well, she’s such a deep individual, i really understand her and feel her on such a deep level. this show is also super enjoyable, relatable, humorous, and an emotional rollercoaster later on. and being that is is based on a book, i love how the quotes included in there are also in the show. these quotes are so poetic and mean a lot to me. i really just loved this on so many levels, it is so special to me. also loved the whole concept in general, the little friend group and their humor, little events that happen at the school, the fact the school looks like a summer camp (that is just so fascinating to me idk why) . i can’t wait to dive into the book!
one thing i noticed right away though was the major similarity to john green’s other book called Paper Towns (he wrote Looking For Alaska). Margot and Alaska are very similar and pull a similar stunt. Pudge and Q are also very similar as they are the shy observant boy hopelessly in love. anyways , i didn’t mind as i actually really enjoyed paper towns, just interesting how these are basically almost the same concept.
