Adolescence
Episode 3 had to be the longest duration of time both me and my parents have been silent for while watching a show. This show dives into such an essential subject in one of, if not the most critical period of time for a person: adolescence. There were so many hidden aspects throughout episode 2 and 3 regarding how our generation reacts to certain situations like bullying, social media, popularity etc. I’m honestly very impressed at how accurate the producers came to reflect specific issues that most adolescents go through. What’s most troubling though, was how realistic the show was. Jamie’s character and even more his answers to Ayana’s questions were so typical. And there’s more than one message the show is trying to get out into the world, making each person watching making out a different point of view. I think the show is amazing for raising awareness about what exactly younger generations are being taught and inflicted upon through the internet, especially such podcast, and on another hand I think its a fantastic reality check for parents to be more active than just enough, in their children’s lives. Oh, and for heavens sake, someone get Owen Cooper an EMMY or BAFTA.
