there's a lot in this movie that words can't even describe. first off, FAITH over FEAR is true. when i saw the ending where one of them testify "he won't pick a rifle, i thought he was a coward but he's actually the most brave person i ever met." that just explain it. honestly, this movie describe faith perfectly. how you trust God in the MIDDLE OF THE WAR (mind you) and just keep praying in any circumstances, that's how you trust God, to let him handle the thing. mind you, Doss prayed but the Lord give or establish his way. that's how it's done, you trust in God, the. he took care of the rest. bro this movie never failed to touch my heart :[ his faith is so beautiful...and yes this is a war movie. when he said "Lord help me get one more" IS JUST...idk words could not explain the feeling. i mean, he never give up. this film had me changed, ngl whenever my faith got weak i rewatched this movie how faith works and that God is real and he us helpful. idk about y'all but for me this is a christian war genre movie. also, Andrew Garfield played this so well bro his acting is TOP TIER fr. he made doss my standards in this movie, how Doss fall in love at first sight. when i say i want old love i didn't mean patriarchy. i meant THIS kind of old love. when men love one women truly, and is soft, and didn't full of ego. Doss LOVED Dorothy, no one talked about this enough bro..he stayed so loyal (and so rare nowadays) that's my kind of standard, a Godly marriage, and just like Doss, a man of God, and i intend to be like Dorothy, a woman of God. Doss and Dorothy literally made for each other, they literally saved somebody's life 🫂 that's a soulmate right there. honestly i have so much to talk with this movie, like Doss didn't take a side at all. his eyes are literally on saving people's life, whether it's American or Japanese. he didn't care at all. He served his country, and he served God. that's a life i want to achieve, to serve people, yet served God as well 🙌🏻 oh Desmond Doss you'll always will be the person i look up to.
