Bugonia

“Even I myself became more human, more selfish and cruel, the longer I stayed here amongst your kind.” Woah, Bugonia managed to critique humanity by blending those fiction aspects with things that actually applies in our world. The message being said here is loud, clear, and completely right: humans are literally working hard to destroy themselves.  I didn’t know a single detail when starting this movie except that it somehow involves alien and Emma Stone (her performance did not disappoint), but it completely blew my expectations. The whole film was just an incredible watch. Bugonia has one of the best visuals and camera-work I’ve seen in a long time, with every frame that is just so aesthetically pleasing. And though the first half and exposition felt kinda slow at some times, the second half completely made up for it. It got more and more intriguing as it reaches the end. The ending completely left me in a shook, I don’t know how they managed to make those last shots so chilling yet absolutely stunning at the same time. Easy 5 stars.
