my first film i have ever purchased while on this adventure of starting my physical collection (re: the uptick in the craziness of the world of streaming). i'm really happy to have such a lovely and beautiful film as my first purchase- truly such a masterpiece from spielberg for its nuanced take on family!! ahh i could rant about this for hours but this movie is really special and one of the cornerstones in my healing process.

2nd purchase; A24 blu-ray set! thank god for being on an email notification lol! i look forward to crying again whenever i get to watch it again. another important film that has helped color the way i want to make movies but also what my relationship with my dad is (i know him and i love him but it's almost eerie or depressing, in a way, that i don't have the honor of knowing him as a person outside of him being my dad- idk he's a pretty amazing person).
