Silent Hill
Keeping Akira Yamaoka’s ost from the games was the appropriate decision—the soundtrack gives me inner restfulness during harsh or even peaceful days; providing Silent Hill with enough seclusion and contentment during all of its metallic, hellish nightmare. Gans’ shear talent of immersing into full video game territory in its set-pieces and camerawork that invokes Team Silent’s vision to the core. A relic of its time and further proof that Gans’ Silent Hill remains the best entry in video game adaptations that we’ve gotten over the years.
