so achingly romantic…somehow manages to perfectly capture and demonstrate what it feels like to fall in love for the first time. strangely underrated in that a lot of the deeper themes are overlooked in favor of only the love story but it is so much more than that. in true todd haynes fashion it is multiple movies rolled into one without ever feeling disjointed. the theater i saw this at also played the room next door trailer before the movie so i totally queened out.
