i think you can only truly understand this movie if you’ve lived with someone you love but hate some of the little things that they do, such as buttering the toast too loudly or wanting the room to be completely silent during breakfast, so you use your mutual perversion to work it out and remind yourselves why you’re here in the first place. this is incredible and exactly how it’s like. obsession, power dynamics, love, meticulous behavior, and kinks. it really does take a near death experience for a man to put his ego aside and realize he’s needed emotionally and let himself be taken care of.
