Normal People
Okay, I'm not going to give this a proper rating because I've not completed the series. I'm logging this because I have attempted to watch this show, I'm maybe about halfway throught it and I cannot bring myself to finish it. If I were to rate this based off the episodes I have seen so far, it would probably be within the half star-one star range. Which I understand comes off as quite harsh considering I've seen a lot of reviews praising this story and giving it 4 and above.
I just don't get it. I have zero emotional attachment to either characters, the interactions and script make me cringe and I'm just genuinely sick of turning on an episode and being bored to death with sex scenes, blunt script choices and a terrible reminder of how secondary and college age school used to be like. I imagine I would enjoy the second half of this series a bit more once these characters move on from that stage in their lives but, I shouldn't have to subject myself to unbelievably boring episodes just to get to that point where I MIGHT begin relating to them. The characters are just not worth it in my eyes.
