Dune
revisiting after part two really completes the experience for me. Desert power. Whether you like it or not Timmy is that guy, he’s excellent as Paul. His visions coming to life but not exactly as initially seen, his fear of what’s to come even from his first night on Arrakis. Lady Jessica loves Paul, but her first scene being her making Paul use the voice to pass water stood out this time. She’s always been training him to be the Kwisatz Haderach and even though the thought frightens her when it starts to take form here, her role as the devil on Paul’s shoulder takes shape by the time she sees that the Fremen could accept him as Lisan al-Gaib. It really does feel like these characters go through significant and meaningful changes through this two part story! And I can’t wait to finish the book.
Was gonna go see dune 2 again after this but am gonna miss the showing. Just means I’ll have to do the double feature a different time, good with me!
