Lou Bloom is what happens when capitalism and hustle culture are taken to their coldest, most logical extreme. No ethics, no empathy, just results. Jake Gyllenhaal once again gives a stellar performance. Every smile is unnerving. The script is tight, the tension is perfect, and it has just the right amount of comedy thanks to the great Riz Ahmed. Terrifying, brilliant, and way too close to real life.
