Ahsoka
The one actual big praise I have for this series isn't even for the series, it just really surprised me how much Hayden Christenssen has improved as an actor during his appearance in episode 5. The range of emotions he conveyed actually had me believing for the first time that he was the man who would become Darth Vader. Good for him and I'm glad he's finally receiving the love from fans.
I should really be talking about well.. the person the show is named after instead though right? But that's exactly the problem and was also the exact same reason I thought the Mandalorian season 3 sucked. This was more of a mixed bag overall, but I couldn't tell you anything about the journey she goes through because the focus seems to be on every other character but her and if you haven't seen Rebels (I've seen just about enough of it to keep me in the loop) then there's almost nothing at all of value here for you. And the final episode.. I don't know if it's down to me not paying attention because so much of it bored me or if it's because they threw so much shit at us in such a short space of time with no context, it really could be either, but it was utter nonsense and I barely understood a thing that was happening 😭
It has it's moments of fun Star Wars-y bullshit and I'm giving it a .5 more than I probably would have just for episode 5 being as good as it is but 1 episode out of 8 doesn't save the rest of it's flaws. Maybe just cancel all plans for season 2 and fast track Andor season 2 instead eh, Disney? I do love David Tennant droid though, the true saving grace ❤️
Also, why did they make Thrawn look so much like Elon Musk bro? 😭
