this film captures the essence and beauty that the arts will always deliver. that inmates not only deserve escapism but to be seen as human. to pour your all into someone new, to honor your strengths within a story that’s been sent to you. there are so many layers to this film that truly makes you think: what more could there be to feel human? freedom? passion? commitment? it’s all and then some. art is forever. passion is forever. there are no barriers when it comes to expressionism.
