Snow Bear

a professor once told me that we can only create what we know, and on a surface level, it sounded quite silly to limit our writers and creatives to only create what we know, but in a time where ai is becoming strikingly more accessible, i can’t help but think back at my professor’s statement. ai cannot take control of our creative fields. it does not feel what we feel. it cannot understand the loneliness of roaming around on your own, yearning for a friend. it cannot save our planet, as many rural homes are currently at risk of obtaining drinkable water. ai cannot feel the emotions we feel, which results in tasteless art. it results in our planet being damaged all because lazy investors would rather have quick results rather than heartfelt results. ai will never know how joyful it is to see a polar bear find a new friend in the middle of a garden. it doesn’t yearn, or love.
