Minari
this movie is tenderness in film form,, it’s so soft, the way it made me fall in love with the mundanity of life and the way it showed me to search for the magic in normalcy. but there’s also so much quiet devastation that seeps through the screen, the way it manages to portray so many different forms of loss in the most heart achingly beautiful way possible, yet all that loss will grow back into something new no matter how much is lost. not to mention, the movie score so perfectly captured the feeling of ‘minari’, like warm sunlight pouring in through your window. i watched this movie shortly after my grandma died in 2020, and i can’t begin to describe the significance of watching this movie at that particular time had on me, my heart ached so bad and it does still even on a second watch. human beings are just so wonderful guys, family can be so beautiful, life is beautiful EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL
