Skyfall
So far this is the pinnacle of my Bond watches this was just so freaking good.
From start to finish you could tell how much work was put into they action sequences, they were so impressively choreographed and you couldn’t help but be excited every time you saw one on your screen, that also includes chase scenes I love how sound is used throughout these films it heightens the suspense so much that there’s time where I’m literally jumping expecting the next thing to go wrong.
Once again Daniel Craig is absolutely amazing and Judi Dench also absolutely delivers such a raw, powerful performance and Javier Bardem is incredible that scene where we see his character for the first time how the camera moves in on him showing him with so much raw power is one of the best camera uses in this franchise.
The scene where Bond stops to change car and we see that Aston Martin again is incredible with the classic bond tune kicking in just fills you with so much excitement.
And the visuals I don’t know what Sam Mendes was on, but this is genuinely one of the most beautiful films I’ve seen especially the Scotland and Shanghai casino scenes it was genuinely breathtaking and I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the cinematography was. Also I need to give a shout out to the coffin with the British flag on them that shot was stunning.
I do think for plot this is on par with Casino Royale such an incredible story with heightened tension through the use of Javier Bardems character as Silva from Bond and Mi6 past. I do think that first scene sets up all you need to know about how Incredible this film was going to be “Take the shot” just such a powerful scene that gives us more insight into M as a character. Then the sequences with the MI6 headquarters with M in the car is phenomenal and just starts building tension straight away with all that tension his exploding in that final act literally as which was literally some of the best action sequences ever with Daniel Craig.
This film is one of the most incredible Bond films ever made.
