Sentimental Value

Absolutely beautiful. One of the best of the year. Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skarsgård are monumental as always and as expected, but Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas take a bow, absolutely phenomenal and show-stopping in every scene. Hania Rani's score is also a standout, flowing so naturally between the delicate, intimate pieces and the grittier, heavier-weighted moments. Such a raw, unfiltered and breathtaking story. Small and tactile but monumental in what it has to say. One of my favourites from this year and one of those that will stay with me forever. Beautiful. 2025 Ranked
