The Master

Don’t you love it when a movie that was previously in your top 4, goes back into rotation after you rewatch it. It’s hard to describe why I love this movie so much. It oddly resonates with me in a way. But i can’t explain why. The way Dodd manipulates Freddie. But I like the fact that Dodd calls him an animal and once he’s in the cell, he goes into an animalistic rage. Like a caged animal. It’s one of my favorite parts. I could go on and on about why I love it. Like how Dodd being in Freddy’s life healed him but Dodd should’ve always always be a period/moment in his life if Freddy was to heal to an extent. I think Dodds aggressive manipulation worked in a sense but Freddy making the choice of leaving was ultimately the final test to him getting better. Not fully but he did. Anyways I won’t babble and bore people lol. I think my third time seeing it I really got it. Personally. Maybe or maybe not fully got it. But that’s the fun part.
