*“Wake up hot stuff that ain’t daddy there ain’t nothing there.”* “You all taste much better when you’re afraid.” “I am the eater of worlds and children.” “I still say we should have brought a machine gun.”** The blueprint!!* Tim curry is fantastic in this scary funny and dangerous the OG pennywise which has scared so many over the ends of time! It’s wild seeing actors who I’ve grown up with over the years Seth green being kid Richie he killed it btw! Emily Perkins a horror icon man she’s had a career for sure seeing her journey through ginger snaps beforehand to her even smaller in this! Being OG Beverly! Tim Reid! Olivia Hussey! Annette o’Toole! Sooooo many faces! 3 hours long but it felt so quick seeing this connect to the new generation and series. It shows how powerful the characters and story of the loser club is and how gargantuan this series is! Ugh, hated the N word moments so unnecessary.. I get the time frame but man it’s so not needed. Bill the ponytail man..that’s a choice.. the rock scene was wayyy better in the OG NO CGI bs I prefer this one wayyy better organic feeling! Jonathan Brandis has a beautiful leader type he has a lot of pain in his eyes omg to pass away at 27 so young he has so much to offer to the universe very tragic. The ending was crazy they just beating on spider pennywise? Mike doesn’t even fight with them in the sewers I thought that was silly why create a character just for exposition but not have him do the final fight especially if it’s about togetherness and he’s alive! Man I really liked this Eddie he was stylish as fuck idk this era the swag is kinda wild. Loved Beverly in this older and younger just a perfect character you root for her all the time and everytime. I love the casting choice with all the characters and the full circle of them sticking together to defeat IT. It’s no wonder at all we have this series now! It’s wild how much the updated part two took from the original but giving it more of a modern narrative. The original is a product of its time of course but Man there’s some scare moments that got me good it was freaky and scary! Tim curry and bill are in leagues of their own with their take on pennywise both are freaky and scary as heck. I love the take on the deadlights giving white hair it’s a unique touch. Or even Ben’s dad just chilling on the river being like I live over here now! You’ll float too freaky and scary as hell! I love the included stans bird moment I wish they kept it in the modern it rounds his character more for sure! It was cool to watch this as an adult especially going into the IT series lore! 🎈 you’ll float too! Ending was bad though so is the new one I wish I could write it myself I think alot of us feel that way it’s gotta be a way better way to kill IT! Like something they need to go back to the drawing board. *
