“Be it a rock or a grain of sand, in water they sink the same.” Wow I did not expect that. My perception of this film before I watched it that it was going to be an epic revenge story filled with cool shots and aura moments but boy was I wrong. Instead I witnessed a very sad, gritty, hardcore movie about the consequences of gossip and how immense hatred can lead to painful obsession. Like that quote at the top says, it doesn’t matter the gravity of the sin or the bad thing you did, in water, they all sink the same. I did NOT expect that twist at the end, my jaw dropped it was so filthy and disgusting. Maybe it’s obvious, maybe not, but it caught me by a huge surprise. I think the twist is setup perfectly and I really enjoyed this. “Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone.” “Even though I'm no more than a beast - don't I, too, have the right to live?” These lines really hit deep.
