i hadn’t seen this film in years, and the first half was barely scraping the surface of a two star rating from me. something about this grown male director’s incessant need to hypersexualize high school girls and the repetition of slapping said girls across their faces with force was putting a bad taste in my mouth for some reason lol!!! the last thirty minutes saved my rating though. really, really good. sissy spacek ate this fucking UP!! the acting she did with her eyes alone—genuinely the perfect carrie. kinda wish the teacher didn’t kick the bucket, but everyone else had it coming. you did what you had to do carrie, baby. <3 <3 can’t believe mike flanagan is filming the newest adaptation of carrie as! we! speak!!! and i got to talk to him about it in person!! pinch me. no one in the world is sitting the way i am SAT.
