Frankenstein
‘the hunter did not hate the wolf. the wolf did not hate the sheep. but violence felt inevitable between them. perhaps, i thought, this was the way of the world. it would hunt you and kill you just for being who you are.’ugh, my heart. sweet, sweet creature. i have a deep appreciation for guillermo del toro and his appreciation for mary shelley. del toro wrote an introduction for the haunting of hill house in 2013, and i’ve read it, underlined it, and thought about it numerous times since i first discovered it. i just love his views on horror and our relationship with the genre. so happy he took on this project and gave me everything nosferatu didn’t.
‘to you i am obscene, but to myself i simply am.’ crying.
