Pride & Prejudice
truth be told, i’m not a massive austen fan. after being forced to take a course in college that required me to read every novel she ever wrote, i would be content to never read her work again (no offense x), but there is something about this film, sense and sensibility (1995), and emma (2020) that allow me to step back and see why her storylines are so appreciated by others. not my style of literature, but there are certainly good adaptations that bring her writing to life in a way i can get behind.
also the multiverses here go mad. elspeth and poor dear pamela were sisters before saltburn! president snow and johanna were father and daughter before panem! who woulda thought.
