Fk it this gets a ten. This shit is too real and too beautiful🥹. Love isn’t easy, love isn’t perfect. Love is hard work, love takes effort. Love is worth it. And if it is true, then it is forever.
“If he didn't wake up from this, if he wasn't here tomorrow, no matter. For I know he'd be waiting for me in the afterlife or some safe celestial place, in this life and the next and the next one after. And for whatever there is on the road that follows from here, it would only require my patience to get to him again. You see, to be in love with him makes life no great mystery.”- Alma Elson
This isn’t a happy perfect love story. These people are flawed. They fight, they argue, they disagree. But they care for each other. You see the happiness and comfort they bring each other. Is it toxic? Sure. But they’re perfect for each other. And what is life without its ups and downs?
My first PTA film and wow am I impressed. This is also the first Daniel Day-Lewis film and oh my lord did he and Vicky Krieps absolutely floor me with their performances. Amazing film.
